Requirements to Volunteer

  • Proof of tuberculosis (TB) clearance
  • Written parental consent for volunteers under 18
  • Background check required for adult volunteers
  • Reliable transportation to and from the nursing home
  • Ability to safely transport residents in wheelchairs
  • Willingness to learn, take initiative, and engage in activities with residents under the guidance of activity staff
  • Patience, good listening skills, and a genuine enjoyment of spending time with older adults.
