Activities Coordinator – Full Time
JOB SUMMARY:
Under the direction of the Director of Social Services, plans, organizes, and directs activities programs for residents of the facility. Coordinates activity programs according to established procedures and protocol to provide entertainment, inter-communication exercise, relaxation, expression of creative talents, and fulfillment of basic psychological, social, and spiritual needs. Trains staff and volunteer workers; assigns work and reviews performance of staff members and recommends actions and changes for improvement.
Essential Duties:
• Organizes and directs an established program of activities including Reality Orientations, Musical Therapy, and Sing-Along group activities.
• Maintains monthly and daily attendance records of each participating resident in the activity programs.
• Prepares monthly activity calendar of events, including crafts, games, parties, and entertainment and religious activities. Advertises events by posting an appropriate Calendar of Events on the resident and community area bulletin boards.
• Decorates activity area for special events and holiday, including Easter, Christmas, New Year and other-directed events.
• Purchases required supplies and maintains records and receipts for issuance to the Business Office.
• Prepares activity evaluation of each resident within 72 hours of admission.
• Participates in weekly resident care plan meetings.
• Upholds the values of Hale Ho Aloha, ensuring that the mission and values of the company are understood and accomplished with consistency.
QUALIFICATIONS:
Education: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited school desirable or three (3) year’s equivalent experience in a long-term care facility.
Skills/Knowledge: Completion of a 36-hour Activity Coordinator course and one (1) year experience in a long-term care/acute care facility. Requires some knowledge of group dynamics and to establish and maintain cooperative working relationship with others, using tact and diplomacy. Ability to communicate and relate well with residents and family members/care givers.
Certified Nursing Assistant – Full Time

Requirements:
- Current State of Hawaii Certification as a Nurse’s Aide.
- Candidates who completed Nurse Aide Training and are awaiting testing are welcome to apply.
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Physical exam (within 1 year)
- 2 Step TB, Followed by 1 Step TB (within 1 year)
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience

Social Services - Activity Aide
Activity Aide will assist the Activity Coordinator in the planning and execution of Hale Ho Aloha’s activities program.
Full-Time, Part-Time Available. MUST WORK WEEKENDS.
Essential Duties:
- Conducts reality orientations, Musical Therapy, and Sing-Along group activities.
- Assists with scheduled birthdays, outings, and special event celebrations.
- Prepares and sets up chairs and tables before each activity including bible reading, church services, and parties.
- Attends programs and keeps residents occupied before and after each program by conducting singing, physical therapy exercises.
- Conducts bedside activities for residents involving games, music, in weekly resident care plan meetings.
- Operates and shows movies and other audio/visual equipment.
Minimum Qualifications
- High School diploma or general education degree (GED); or one to three months related experience/training; or equivalent combination of education and experience.
- Physical exam (within 1 year)
- 2 Step TB, Followed by 1 Step TB (within 1 year)
- 2 References Preferred
- Good written, verbal, non-verbal, and active listening and communication skills.
Nursing - RN On Call (Float)
Seeking qualified RNs!
- On – Call (Various days, Float)
Essential Duties:
- Works with Director of Nursing and nursing team to provide optimal care to our residents.
- Application of nursing process through assessment, nursing diagnosis, planning, implementing, documenting, and evaluating plans of care for assigned residents.
- Perform resident care in accordance with established policies and procedures.
- Ensure that all resident rights and responsibilities are protected and enforced.
Minimum Qualifications
- Current State of Hawaii Registered Nurse License
- Basic Cardiac Life Support (BCLS), Level C required. Re-training once every two years.
- First Aid & CPR Certification
- Physical exam (within 1 year)
- 2 Step TB, Followed by 1 Step TB (within 1 year)
- 2 References Required
- Experience in hospice, long term or acute care preferred
- Flexibility to work other times as needed and to attend mandatory training.
- Excellent written, verbal, non-verbal, and active listening communication skills.
- Experience with PointClickCare preferred.
